We’ve Received Gold Accreditation from Investors in People

An outstanding level of participation demonstrates the investment for the accreditation from our people.

We’re thrilled to be awarded We Invest in People and We Invest in Wellbeing, gold accreditation by Investors in People (IiP). This is a step up for us from the previous time we were accessed – when these were two separate awards – and is a sign of one of their core values, continuous improvement. We have a clear plan for the future, which is understood by our employees, the plan is to make CBS the best place our people ever choose to work, and key to achieving that is having clarity on direction, purpose, values, culture and behaviours.

Gold accreditation for We Invest in People means we have policies in place, which everyone from our Managing Director, Paul Taylor to the entry level graduate positions take accountability for making them come to life.

The We Invest in Wellbeing accreditation demonstrates that we have a good wellbeing strategy that is clearly supported by everyone. There are opportunities and dedicated spaces for people to work, as well as socialise. People understand and support each other’s mental health. A total of 94% of people responded positively when asked if CBS is committed to creating an environment that supports health and wellbeing.

We live and breathe our company values of pride, accountability, continuous improvement, integrity and enjoyment – this accreditation celebrates us being recognised by our people as a great place to work.

We ranked in the top 20 of all UK businesses that have been IiP accredited in the last four years within their sector. We also achieved ‘advanced’ status in eight of the nine indicators for We Invest in People, and all nine indicators for We Invest in Wellbeing measures that are used to assess the accreditation. The scores across all assessment areas ranked above the gold accreditation benchmark meaning all the hard work that’s gone in over the last three years has paid off.

One employee at CBS says: “Our Managing Director, Paul is in his office every day and you can see the pride and enjoyment on his face in the work that we do. He’s very approachable, his door is literally open if you’ve got a question and there’s no doubt he holds himself accountable.”
